The WMCRR 50'th Anniversary Railroad Days celebration was held on Sept. 20 & 21, 2008.

- The Butterfield-Cutler steam roller was operating for the first time in ten years. Several visitors took their turn at operating it.
- The Porter 0-4-0 steam locomotive powered shuttle train ran regularly all day
- There were several photo run-bys of the steam powered logging train
- The 0-4-0 Porter, 2-4-2T Baldwin, Heisler and Railbus were in operation for the first time in 2008
- The Climax steam locomotive pulled passenger trains all day
- The 65 ton GE Diesel made several special runs.
- Unfortunately the Heisler steam locomotive is not expected to operate again due to boiler certifications expiring.
- Track Inspection Car rides
- A Saturday night potluck dinner for the railroad staff and friend was held in the Railroad Shop.
- The Shay and Vulcan switcher locomotives were on static display
- Caboose rides were popular.
Children, parents and rail fans of all ages from all over North America were out in force.
