White Mountain Central Railroad Steam Locomotive

Diesel Loco #1943


This Diesel-Electric Locomotive was built in August 1943 by General Electric Co. in Schenectady NY as builder's number 17,886.  

It is a 65 ton 400 HP switching engine. 

Clark's bought this locomotive from the Newport Rhode Island Dinner Train. 

It pulled the excursion passenger trains when the Climax steam locomotive was having it's boiler replaced.
